We have been notified by BSN Sports, the vendor we used for the rubber penguin, cow, frog, octopi, and alligator stuffed animals in our play area, of a recall of these toys due to a violation of the federal lead paint ban. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has indicated that the orange and yellow surface paint colors on the rubber critter toys contains levels of lead that violate the federal lead paint ban. While no incidents or injuries have been reported, nevertheless it is recommended that these toys be taken away from children and returned to BSN. If you purchased one of these from Cafe O’Play after February 2017, please return it to us as soon as possible. You will be reimbursed for this purchase and we will send the toys back to BSN Sports. This recall does not include the rubber pigs that we use as these are from a different manufacturer. For more details on this recall please see this link: http://www.recallrtr.com/rubbercritters
