New Services for Changing Times
Cafe O’Play will be re-opening Wednesday June 17th
As all have been aware, the presence of the Coronavirus in society in 2020 has necessitated a radical change in public interaction in a short time. Our business was ordered closed on March 21st and currently are under orders from the Ohio Department of Health to remain closed until July 1st. In response to this situation, we are putting in place as many safeguards as are feasible in order to protect our customers and staff when we do reopen. We are also adding new services that we anticipate will benefit our customers in the months ahead.
These new services include the following.
Parties are our specialty! We take care of all the details so you can relax and enjoy the festivities. Our enthusiastic PARTY HEROES will do more than provide you with your food order, private room, and time to play. They will lead customized games and creative play, keeping kids engaged through the whole event. They will make sure the celebration truly revolves around the person who matters most that day: your child.
Services & Safeguards
Open Play Reservations
To help us best manage our new capacity levels of less than 50%, we prefer our customers to now book their two-hour Open Play sessions online prior to their arrival. This will allow us to gauge how many people are coming and whether or not we can allow walk-ins. Online reservations will be live starting Wednesday June 10th.
Work With Care Service
As much of our nation has moved to working at home for safety reasons, we are anticipating that this trend will continue. After studying other models we are excited to be able to offer co-working with child care which we are calling Work With Care. This service will include:
The ability to book online a 2 hour session during which our staff will care for the little ones, ages 8 months to 47 months. This will be available during the weekdays we are open.
Parents will need to remain on site in the Cafe, but can make calls or work on projects that require their complete focus.
Our party rooms are the dedicated space for child care and are furnished with all necessary items for this service.
Staff will be using this time for enrichment with each child. We will have a low teacher to child ratio, 3:1 for 8-18 month olds and 4:1 for 19-47 month olds.
We have also invested in a ROOM UNIT, which is a movable, soundproof phone booth within which customers will be able to make calls or do video conferencing confidentially.
Online reservations will be live starting Wednesday June 10th.
Mobile Food Ordering
In order to provide safety and convenience for caregivers, our Cafe Menu will now be available via your mobile devices. This way, customers can order drinks and food while still present to their children anywhere in the facility. Staff will receive a receipt of this order, assemble it for the customer, and send the customer a text and order # when it is ready. This Mobile Food Ordering will be live the first day we are open. By Wednesday June 10th our Mobile Menu will be live and you can click the link below to go to the ordering page which you can bookmark on your mobile device so you will be all ready to go.
As we anticipate lower numbers of guests, we will be providing benefits to those who choose our new membership option. Our Memberships will be monthly auto-draws and will offer unlimited weekday visits, discounts on other sales and services, and periodic, exclusive “Members Only” special events. Membership info will be live by Wednesday June 10th. At that time you will be able to click below to learn more about our Memberships and how to sign up.
Second Eye Service
For customers whose children are ages 4 through 10, we offer a service to dedicate a staffer’s attention toward their child for a 2 hr period. This way caregivers can work remotely, or catch up on projects while their children are more directly supervised by our staff. Online reservations for this service will be live on Wednesday June 10th.
Hourly Cool Down
At the top of each hour we will announce it is time for a “Five minute Cool Down”. We ask that all children come down from the play structure and sports court and check in with their adult caregivers. This time gives caregivers the opportunity to have their child: wash their hands, go to the bathroom, get some water and re-hydrate, get a snack from the cafe, and/or just take a moment to cool down.
Other Reopening Information
In addition to the new services and safeguards discussed in the preceding section, Cafe O’Play has an extensive plan of revised policies and procedures regarding the “reopening” of our business to the public following the recent COVID-19 crisis. We encourage you to learn more about our reopening plan as it pertains to each of the following areas:
